SuperTuf Taps Make Tough Tapping Easy
If you’re tapping 8620 steel 17-4 Stainless, or any other difficult materials, Regal Cutting Tools has the right tool for you. Free machining stainless steels or tough carbon steel can be tapped with excellent results. Taps designed for titanium and nickel alloys ensures long life and superior thread finish. Our taps specifically designed for high silicon content aluminum cut freely without chips adhering to the cutting edges.
SuperTuf High Performance Taps are dedicated to applications in specific materials, where ordinary taps won’t produce the thread quality or tool life desired. The development of our five material specific designs addresses applications of both through and blind holes in each of the material groups. These material specific designs include:

Regal has a great history of being able to deliver special taps quicker than any other tap manufacturer. The process for making high performance special taps to meet the custom needs of our customers is fast and accurate. Our various micro-grain particle metal steels have been developed with each application in mind. Standard taps are in inventory with the coating we recommend for each material. We ship special SuperTuf taps in ten days or less while our completion takes six weeks or more.
Due to the success we’ve had with this product line, we are expanding with many more sizes and H limits. Additional treatments and coatings are now available as well.
Newly introduced MetFlo (metal forming) high performance taps are made to DIN/ANSI specifications and will be featured at IMTS 2016.
