10 Pitch Large Diameter Taps
Power generation is a key industry using large diameter taps. Ten pitch taps above one inch are used in large equipment manufacturing and repair. Sucker Rod couplings made of high tensile material require material specific high performance taps from 3/4" to 1 5/8" diameter.

Sucker rods, typically 25-30 feet long are joined by couplings and used to join together the surface and downhole components of a piston pump. They require a material specific design because of the high tentile material they are made from.
