Taper Length Drills
Long flute and overall length design is for jobs requiring extra reach or for deep hole drilling. Sizes 45/64” and larger are treated, smaller sizes are bright. Tapered web construction supports straight drilling while allowing for efficient chip ejection.
Taper length drills have flute lengths which are the same as taper shank drills of the same size. Overall length combined with flutes longer than standard allow the drilling of deep holes.
High Helix taper length drills have flute lengths which are the same as taper shank drills of the same size. Overall length combined with flutes longer than standard allow the drilling of deep holes.
