Carbide Drill Bits
The carbide drill bits provided by Regal Cutting tools are for industrial use in materials such as cast iron, nonferrous heavy metal and other abrasive materials. Carbide drill bits maintain a sharp cutting edge longer than HSS or Cobalt and are run at higher speed rates as they absorb heat more efficiently. A tipped carbide drill bit is effective in shallow holes and cost less than half of a solid carbide drill bit. When drilling deeper holes in production, solid carbide tools perform very well and coolant fed drills even better. To use this style however, a machine that can feed coolant under pressure is required.
Regal’s National Brand Of Royal HP carbide drills includes tipped, solid and coolant feeding drills in a wide range of sizes. Our coolant fed drills are standard with AlTin coating to produce a very attractive cost per drilled hole.
